Four local authors will read from their works at fall Media series

MEDIA Local authors will read from their works during the second season of the State Street Reading Series this fall in Media.

The readings, which are set for every other month at the Media Arts Center Gallery, feature two local authors. The event is a partnership between Widener University and the Media Arts Council.

On Sept. 17, Michael Cocchiarale, author of Still Time and an associate professor of English at Widener University, and Asali Solomon, author of Get Down and an assistant professor of English at Haverford College, will be featured from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gallery, 609 W. State St.

Novelist Alan Drew, author of Gardens of Water, and poet Nathalie Anderson, a da Vinci Eye finalist for her book Quiver, have been chosen to read on Nov. 19 for the second event in the series.
