Man, woman shot in Cedarbrook

A man and woman were injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the Cedarbrook section of Northwest Philadelphia, police said.

About 3:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of 78th Avenue, a 39-year-old man was shot in the back and neck and a 26-year-old woman was shot in a leg.

The pair were being driven in a private automobile to Abington Memorial Hospital when they flagged down an Abington police officer who drove them there. Their conditions at the hospital were not immediately known. Police reported no arrest. - Robert Moran
