Man shot dead outside Nicetown stadium

A man was shot and killed early Friday on a North Philadelphia street, police said.

Officers responding to a call for a person with a gun about 1:30 a.m. found the unidentified victim on the 1600 block of Staub Street, outside the Marcus Foster Stadium in Nicetown, police said.

He had been shot in the chest and right side of the neck, police said. Medics took him to Temple University Hospital but he died at 2:01 a.m.

Now word yet on a possible motive or suspects.
