Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and 250 other team members raised more than $70,000 for the Irish Pub Children's Foundation, which supports needy children and the families of first responders killed in the line of duty.

The cyclists participated in the 28th annual Irish Pub Tour de Shore, a 65-mile ride from the Irish Pub in Center City to the Irish Pub in Atlantic City, on July 19.

In all, the 2,300 cyclists raised over $800,000.

The Montco team claimed the John Timoney Award, named for the former Philadelphia police commissioner, for being the top fund-raiser.
