Three killed in Phila. in three hours

Three men were killed within three hours across the city overnight Wednesday into Thursday, Philadelphia police said. The first took place on the 3000 block of North Howard Street in Fairhill around 10:44 p.m. Police responded to a report of a person with a gun and found Jovanni Ouola, 19, of Oxford Circle, shot through the head and torso.

Medics took Ouola to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later. Police said an argument led to the shooting. No arrests had been made.

At 1:02 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to another report of a person with a gun on the 100 block of West Colona Street in North Philadelphia. They found a man unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to his face and chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release his name. Officers then found another gunshot victim around the corner on the 100 block of Susquehanna Avenue, a 15-year-old boy who had been shot in the left arm and the back. He was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children by police, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police said no motive had yet been determined in the case, and no arrests had been made.

Finally, at 1:14 a.m. Thursday, officers in Tacony responded to a report of a person with a gun on the 6700 block of Marsden Street. They found a 29-year-old man lying in the street, shot through the head and neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man was found wounded in a house down the block, on the 4600 block of Unruh Avenue. The wounded man, 28, had been shot in the right side and back, and was taken to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus in critical condition. Police did not release the dead man's name and did not specify a motive in the case. No arrests had been made.
