Swarthmore to host Woody Plant Conference

Woody Plant Conference set for Friday

SWARTHMORE Swarthmore College is to host the 18th Woody Plant Conference.

The event, open to the public and sponsored by area public gardens and the college, is to be held on Friday at the Lang Performing Arts Center.

Topics are to include a look at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, an organic park in the middle of New York City, new trees and shrubs, and how to use interesting and edible woody plants in the landscape and kitchen.

There is a registration fee of $129. Only disabled parking is available on campus. All others are asked to use the parking shuttles to be provided at Springfield Mall.
