A Chester County man was arrested for allegedly recording video and audio of women without their consent.

Freeman Rodger Cottrell, of Devon, was charged on June 26 with invasion of privacy and intercepting communications.

Cottrell, 45, secretly recorded videos of his ex-fiance during intercourse and recorded up-skirt videos of women in public places, according to the criminal complaint.

His then-fiance found the videos on a home computer when she was looking for e-mails to prove that Cottrell was cheating on her, police said. She told police she did not know she had ever been recorded.

A second woman was identified in some up-skirt videos that had been recorded on her patio and were found on Cottrell's hard drive. She also told police she had been unaware of the recordings.

A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 5.
