Three armed men were being sought in the theft of $15,000 during a home-invasion robbery Tuesday afternoon in the city's Wissinoming section, police said.

The assailants' getaway vehicle, a red Ford Explorer, was located a short time later outside a house in Juniata Park, and when no one answered the front door, police declared a barricade at 4:18 p.m. and called the SWAT team to search the location.

The house, in the 3800 block of J Street, was empty, and the barricade was declared over around 5:30 p.m.

The initial home invasion occurred in the 5600 block of Tulip Street. The men climbed through a rear bedroom window and held two women and two young children at gunpoint during the robbery. No injuries were reported.

The house in Juniata Park was being held while police obtained a search warrant.
