Cops ID victim, suspect in Bridesburg slaying

Police have identified the victim and suspect in the Thursday afternoon shooting death of a 21-year-old man in Bridesburg. Philadelphia police said Daniel Santiago, of Frankford, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the 2800 block of Orthodox Street just before 1:30 p.m.

Philadelphia police said Daniel Santiago, of Frankford, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the 2800 block of Orthodox Street just before 1:30 p.m.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:58 p.m.

Officers responding to the scene stopped a man on the 4600 block of Edgemont Street, about a half-mile away.

That man, identified by police on Friday as 18-year-old Robert Diluzio, fit the description of the suspect in the slaying and was carrying a firearm, police said.

Diluzio has been charged with murder, robbery and other offenses in the killing.

Officials didn't provide any information about a motive in the killing.
