Kensington shooting suspect caught blasting away on video

Police are looking for the suspect in a Kensington shooting this week that left a 29-year-old man critically wounded. Investigators on Friday released surveillance footage of the suspect emerging from around a vehicle on the 500 block of East Cambria Street, drawing his handgun and firing the weapon.

Investigators on Friday released surveillance footage of the suspect emerging from around a vehicle on the 500 block of East Cambria Street, drawing his handgun and firing the weapon.

The victim in the shooting, which happened just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, suffered three gunshot wounds to his back and stomach, police said.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

The suspect was last seen fleeing north on the 2800 block of Hartville Street.

The assailant was described as a light-complexioned Hispanic man who is 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall and has a medium build. He was wearing glasses, a black tank top, and dark-gray shorts at the time of the shooting. He has tattoos on his arms and neck.

Police said investigators are still working to identify the man, but he is believed to spend time around the 2800 block of Kensington Avenue and the 500 block of East Cambria Street.
