'Suspicious' photographer near kids just doing his job

Some people thought the man with a camera and white SUV, snapping photos near school bus stops in Bucks County, seemed suspicious.

Some people thought the man with a camera and white SUV, snapping photos near school bus stops in Bucks County, seemed suspicious.

So they called police.

But, it turns out, the mystery photographer wasn't the predator the concerned callers feared.

Earlier this week, Newtown Township police notified residents about a "suspicious" person seen taking photographs near school bus stops.

Investigators have now identified the man, but the students weren't the subjects of his photos.

Police said Thursday that officers had contacted the owner of the vehicle that was reported to authorities.

The man is a property inspector, and was working for banks to report on the status of mortgages.

He was taking pictures of multiple properties in the Newtown Township area on Tuesday morning, when the "suspicious" activity was reported, police said.

And for future reference: The man told police he generally is in Newtown Township twice a month to take photos of properties there.
