A Philadelphia man allegedly fired a starter pistol at a man and his daughter in a fit of road rage on I-95 in Bucks County on Monday night.

The incident occurred near the Bristol exit after the man picked up his daughter from her babysitter. The father told police that he accidentally cut off another car as he was getting onto the highway.

Angry at being cut off, William Henderson, 18, pulled up alongside the father and daughter and fired the starter pistol, police said. Fearing the gun was real, the father slowed down to make sure he and his daughter were safe, police said. He then caught up with Henderson and reported his vehicle description to a 911 dispatcher, court records stated.

Henderson was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors and related counts. He remained in the Bucks County prison on Tuesday afternoon with bail set at $10,000 bail. - Ben Finley
