Jury finds chiropractor not guilty of sex assault

A NORTHEAST Philadelphia chiropractor was found not guilty yesterday of sexually assaulting a woman in his office four years ago, officials said.

The woman, then 69, had accused Christopher Walcott of assaulting her during a visit to his office, Advanced Wellness Center of PA, on Bustleton Avenue in Somerton.

But after a number of Walcott's former female patients testified to his professionalism, a Common Pleas jury concluded yesterday that the married father of three was not guilty.

Walcott, now 47, was arrested in September 2011 for allegedly digitally penetrating the patient during a massage that July. He was charged with aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.

The alleged victim had testified at a preliminary hearing that she had gone to Walcott's center to get relief from hip and groin pain. She said that she had visited the center 12 times since 2010.
