Roadwork to affect sections of Routes 30 and 100 this week
WEST WHITELAND Lanes on Routes 30 and 100 will be restricted or closed in Chester County this week.
As Route 100 is widened from two to three lanes in both directions, lanes will be closed between Sunrise Drive and Route 113 in West Whiteland and Uwchlan Townships. Weather permitting, roadwork will last from Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., said the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
From Tuesday to Monday, lanes will be restricted during gas main replacements on Business Route 30 in Coatesville. The work will take place between Hope Avenue and Route 82 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., PennDot said.
Peco Energy will also continue gas main replacement this week on Route 491 and Smithbridge Road in Delaware County. - Justine McDaniel
