Dead woman identified in Montco

The Montgomery County Coroner's office has identified the body found in a wooded area of East Norriton on Sunday as an Upper Merion woman who went missing in February.

The Montgomery County Coroner's office has identified the body found in a wooded area of East Norriton on Sunday as an Upper Merion woman who went missing in February.

Heather Tillette's cause and manner of death are still unknown pending further investigation. Tillette, 37, was last seen leaving Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton on Feb. 26.

Her mother reported her missing two days later, said Upper Merion Police Chief Tom Nolan.

A neighbor drove Tillette to the hospital's emergency room on Feb. 26, Nolan said. But Tillette left before receiving treatment. He declined to say why she went to the emergency room.

East Norriton officers searched the area around Einstein Medical Center after Tillette was reported missing, Nolan said. Her body was found near Taft Road during a second search of the area on Sunday afternoon.

There were "no obvious signs of what caused death" when Tillette was found, Nolan said.

The coroner's office completed an autopsy on Monday. Additional testing, which will include toxicology reports, is expected to take several weeks.
