Conestoga students' film is screened at the White House in festival

BERWYN A film by three Chester County students was selected for the White House Student Film Festival and screened at the White House on Friday at an event hosted by President Obama.

Conestoga High School students Jason Kim, Jack Lewis, and Cameron Pratt made the short film, which was one of 15 chosen from more than 1,500 entries.

The event is "a great example of what happens when we just unleash the skills and the imagination of America's young people," Obama said in his remarks, according to a transcript from the White House.

Entries had to fit the theme of service and giving back.

Called A Student's Dream, the Conestoga students' film is about a student who succeeds after being mentored by a teacher.

The film is on the White House website, along with the other winning entries. - Justine McDaniel
