Overall, it was the seventh coldest February in the period of record, with an average temeprature of 25.8, the lowest reading since the 23.0 of 1979.

The coldest February was recorded in 1934, the month of the lowest temperature ever observed in Philadelphia, -11 Fahrenheit.
