Man arrested at airport on child-porn charge

An executive vice president of a German construction corporation has been charged with possession of child pornography after his laptop was seized as he was traveling through Philadelphia International Airport, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.

Ivan Teobaldo Zubiaga, 50, of Waxhaw, N.C., was arrested Saturday and charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography, obscene and sexual materials, and other related crimes. He was remanded to the Delaware County jail after failing to post 10 percent of $250,000 bail, according to court records.

Zubiaga works for Raedlinger Primus Line, which has a subsidiary in Charlotte. The company specializes in road construction, civil engineering, and asphalt construction.

According to the District Attorney's Office, Zubiaga was traveling back from Munich when he was questioned by Homeland Security investigators. He agreed to let authorities look at his laptop, where a large volume of video files of child pornography was found.

Zubiaga was then questioned by a detective with the District Attorney's Office. He admitted he had been watching child pornography for about 10 years and that he does not know any of the child victims, authorities said. He is married with one child, according to the District Attorney's Office.
