Man, 30, is fatally stabbed in Overbrook

A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death Thursday morning in the Overbrook section of the city, police said.

The victim, whose name was not immediately released by police, was attacked shortly after 10 a.m. on the 5400 block of Arlington Street. He was stabbed multiple times in the chest and arms by someone he knew, according to preliminary police information.

The man was pronounced dead at 10:36 a.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Police had not made an arrest by Thursday afternoon and had not recovered a weapon at the scene, they said.
