Comments sought for trails plan

BRISTOL Starting Monday, Lower Bucks County residents can take their first look at a feasibility study for establishing a trail along a series of creeks that flow from Middletown to Bristol.

The corridor of waterways includes the Black Ditch, Queen Anne and Mill Creeks and flows from Core Creek Park to the Delaware River. The study will identify potential trail routes and connections to existing pathways as well as the cost of clearing them.

The study, prepared by the Bucks County Planning Commission, will serve as a starting point for the county and local towns to submit grant applications to build the trails.

The study was financed in part by a Federal Coastal Zone Management Grant and administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Other funding was provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the United States Department of Commerce.

The study will be available for comment and review on the Bucks County Planning Commission website at www.buckscounty.org/government/CommunityServices/PlanningCommission.
