Two killed, two wounded in Fern Rock-area shooting

Two men were killed and two others wounded in an overnight shooting in the Fern Rock section of Philadelphia, police said.

Two men were killed and two others wounded in an overnight shooting in the Fern Rock section of Philadelphia, police said.

The shootings occurred just after midnight Sunday in the 5600 block of Park Avenue.

A 26-year-old man with one gunshot wound to the back was taken by private vehicle to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m. A 39-year-old man with three gunshot wounds to the chest was transported to the same hospital by police and pronounced dead at 1:06 a.m., according to police.

Two other men were wounded. One, 39, was shot twice in the arm and is listed in stable condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center. The other, 41, was shot in the thigh and was taken by private vehicle to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to police.

There have been no arrests and identities of the victims have not been released.
