More training added to jobs program

EXTON Welding and CNC machinery training are being offered to residents throughout Chester County, which said in a news release that the skills are in demand by local manufacturing companies.

Those training programs are in addition to those already offered by the Chester County Workforce Investment Board and PA CareerLink-Chester County. They include Microsoft Office skills; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning certification; and nurses' assistant training.

Patrick Bokovitz, director of the county's Department of Community Development, in a news release called it the "most comprehensive" list of classes ever offered. The current list of offerings is available until June 30, 2015.

More information is available at www.pacareerlinkchesco.org/job-seekers/wibtraining.

Most of the classes are being offered at the recently opened PA CareerLink-Chester County and United Way Financial Stability Center, 479 Thomas Jones Way, Suite 500, Exton. - Tricia L. Nadolny
