Boy, 9, wounded by gunfire in Tacony

A 9-year-old boy suffered a graze wound from a gun discharge Tuesday afternoon in the city's Tacony section, police said.

A 9-year-old boy suffered a graze wound from a gun discharge Tuesday afternoon in the city's Tacony section, police said.

The incident occurred outdoors about 3:20 p.m. in the 4700 block of Knorr Street, police said. The boy was grazed on the right side of the back of his head.

A medic unit transported the boy to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He was reported to be in good condition. Police reported no arrest. - Robert Moran
