SEPTA routes get a Montco makeover

MONTGOMERY COUNTY SEPTA is implementing new transit schedules for the fall, with some of the biggest changes affecting Montgomery County routes.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY SEPTA is implementing new transit schedules for the fall, with some of the biggest changes affecting Montgomery County routes.

The Norristown High Speed Line, frequently crowded on weekends, is getting four additional Saturday trips and six additional Sunday trips.

Bus 91, a Saturday-only line that runs from Norristown to Graterford Prison, will have a new route. Instead of taking Ridge Pike through Collegeville, the bus will follow Valley Forge Road through Skippack. In addition to the two morning trips, there will be an afternoon bus heading to the prison.

Bus 125 will no longer stop at the King of Prussia Park and Ride lot.

At the Dresher end of Route 201, the bus will loop around the retail and office parks on Susquehanna Road before continuing on to Office Center Drive.

Most of the changes take effect Sunday and Monday. All updated timetables and maps are posted at www.septa.org/schedules/upcoming-transit.html. - Jessica Parks
