Police seek help in finding missing Delco man

Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a mentally challenged Delaware County man who has been missing since Wednesday.

Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a mentally challenged Delaware County man who has been missing since Wednesday.

Frank Joseph Lavin, 46, of Middletown Township, was last seen about 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning. He is a resident of Elwyn but lives with a care provider as part of the Life Sharing Program. According to Lavin's caretakers, this is the first time in six years he has failed to return home in a timely manner, according to police.

He is known to frequent Granite Run Mall, Hannum's Harley Davidson, Tyler Arboretum, Ridley Creek State Park, Media Borough, Chester City, Harrah's Casino, and Aston Township.

Lavin is often seen riding a gray diamondback bicycle with a black basket on the right side and wearing a silver and red helmet.
