Motorcyclist critically hurt in S. Phila. accident


A 21-year-old man was critically injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon in South Philadelphia, police said.

About 3:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Oregon Avenue, the man was riding east when a van pulling out of the Oregon Diner parking lot cut him off, police said.

The man was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered head and neck injuries and a broken right arm. He was transported by a medic unit to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The accident is under investigation. - Robert Moran
