Casey announces $21K grant for Philadelphia Fire Department

Sen. Bob Casey Saturday announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), under the Department of Homeland Security has awarded $21,051 in grants to the Philadelphia Fire Department for operations and safety.

"Pennsylvania's firefighters endure risk and sacrifice every day to keep their community safe," said Casey.

Funds are awarded through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program (AFG), which aims to strengthen the health and safety of the nation's first responders and those they serve.
