1 killed, 2 wounded in Nicetown shooting

One man was killed and two others injured in a shooting Thursday night in the city's Nicetown section, police said.

About 7:20 p.m. in the 4200 block of North Hicks Street, a 25-year-old man was shot once in the right buttock, police said. Police rushed him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:43 p.m.

A 21-year-old man was shot several times and also taken by police to Temple, where he was listed in critical condition. Another 21-year-old man also was shot several times and was reported in stable condition at Temple, where he had been taken by private vehicle. Police reported no arrests. - Robert Moran
