McDonald's worker charged with selling crack outside Wayne restaurant

Radnor Township police have arrested a McDonald's employee who they say sold crack cocaine from the restaurant's parking lot in Wayne.

Radnor Township police have arrested a McDonald's employee who they say sold crack cocaine from the restaurant's parking lot in Wayne.

Allen Trammell, 29, of Philadelphia, worked at the McDonald's restaurant on Lancaster Avenue and sold packets of the drug while at work, police said Wednesday.

After receiving a tip from a confidential informant, undercover officers purchased packets of crack cocaine from Trammell on four dates in June and July, police said.

Police said there was no evidence that Trammell, who was arrested Tuesday, sold drugs inside the restaurant, but the investigation will continue.

"It's a great public safety concern," said Radnor police Lt. Andy Block.

Tanya Holliday, the local owner and operator of the McDonald's where Trammell worked, said she takes the allegations "very seriously" but could not comment on his employment or the police investigation.

Police confiscated 157 bags of crack cocaine from Trammell when he was arrested Tuesday. The bags are typically sold for $10 each.

He is charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and criminal use of a communication device. Police said Trammell took calls on his cell phone from customers while at work to arrange meetings in the McDonald's parking lot.

Trammell was arraigned Tuesday evening and is being held at $100,000 bail, police said.
