Two wounded, one critically, in drive-by shooting

Two men were hit in a drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia, leaving one in critical condition, police said.

A 23-year-old man who was shot in the chest was driven to Temple University Hospital and was in critical condition.

Another man who was shot in one leg was taken to Episcopal Hospital. He was reported to be in stable condition and was being transferred to Temple, police said.

The shooting was reported around 4:30 p.m. near Fourth Street and Indiana Avenue. Based on preliminary reports, police were searching for a red or maroon truck or SUV with tinted windows that was last seen heading west on Indiana Avenue. - Jessica Parks
