Man killed in daylight shooting in N. Philly

Police are investigating the daylight shooting death of a man Tuesday in North Philadelphia's Nicetown section.

The victim, said to be about 28 years old, was shot twice in the chest when gunfire erupted around 9:10 a.m. on the 3800 block of Archer Street, near Hunting Park Avenue, police said.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:29 a.m., police said.

Investigators did not immediately provide any discriptions of a suspect or disclose if they have established a possible motive.
