Six students and the driver of a pickup truck were taken to a hospital after a minor school bus accident in Northeast Philadelphia on Monday.

The high school bus hit the back bumper of a pickup truck that had stopped at a red light on Roosevelt Boulevard near Goodnaw Street about 8 a.m.

One high school student was taken to Aria-Torresdale hospital for a possible minor injury, along with five other students who did not claim to have injuries but were nevertheless evaluated. The pickup truck driver was also taken to Aria-Torresdale for a possible minor injury.

The two remaining high school students on the bus, both 18, declined to be taken to the hospital, as did the bus driver and the two bus attendants.

The minor collision closed off the busy road's outer northbound lanes late Monday morning.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
