Two hurt in West Phila. shootings

Two men were wounded - one critically - in separate shootings Thursday night in West Philadelphia, police said. About 8:30 p.m. in the 6200 block of Osage Avenue, an 18-year-old man was shot once in the back of the head, police said. He was reported in stable condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

In the 100 block of North Salford Street, a 22-year-old man was shot once in the back, police said. He was reported in critical condition at the hospital. No arrests were reported in either case. - Robert Moran
