Salvation Army fills a South Jersey post
CAMDEN Camden resident Raymond L. Lamboy has been named the next chairman of the Salvation Army Advisory Board of Southwest New Jersey.
"We have been blessed by Ray's dedication to the Salvation Army as active member of the Advisory Board of Southwest New Jersey," said Maj. Paul Cain of the Salvation Army in Camden. "His leadership will benefit our organization as we continue to grow and expand in the region, especially with the opening of the Kroc Center in October."
Lamboy, a member of the board since 2011, is president and chief executive officer of the Latin American Economic Development Association Inc., a nonprofit that strives to create economic opportunities for minorities in South Jersey.
A resident of Cramer Hill, Lamboy is a trustee of the St. Anthony of Padua Parish. He is a second-generation owner of the Lamboy Furniture Co.
Lamboy is also active in several community and business organizations.
He assumes the chairmanship from Joseph M. Nardi III, who headed the advisory board for six years and will remain an active member. Nardi is chairman of the Salvation Army's Kroc Executive Committee.
