Lanes to be reduced on Route 202 in Chesco

Lanes to be reduced on Route 202

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation on Thursday announced further lane closures as part of the ongoing project to widen 61/2 miles of Route 202.

The closures will affect the roadway next week, but the department said it will not block any lanes between May 23-26 to accommodate travel during the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

In a news release, PennDot advised drivers to expect delays during the impacted times.

From 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Route 202 in both directions will be reduced to one lane between the Route 252 and Route 401 interchanges. Southbound travel will also be reduced to one lane at the Route 29 interchange on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
