Corporate philanthropy to be addressed at meeting

KING OF PRUSSIA Ina B. Lipman, head of the Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia, and officials from other nonprofits and companies will speak Thursday about corporate philanthropy at a meeting sponsored by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce.

The session is part of the chamber's "Doing Well by Doing Good" initiative.

"Companies are using philanthropy and volunteerism to help their employees become more engaged with the community," said Bernard Dagenais, CEO of the chamber. "Younger workers in particular want to be part of a company that is giving back."

The meeting, which has an admission fee, will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 301 W. DeKalb Pike, King of Prussia. For more information, contact Val Alonso at VAlonso@mlcc.org or 484-253-1115. - Carolyn Davis
