Logan fire sends 2 to hospital

A woman and a boy were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a fire struck a home in the city's Logan section, said Fire Department Capt. Clifford Gilliam.

The fire was reported at 3:08 p.m. in the 1100 block of Wagner Avenue, Gilliam said. Heavy fire was showing on the second floor of the two-story house. The woman and boy, whose ages were believed to be 32 and 4, were taken to Einstein Medical Center, a few blocks away. Their conditions were not available.

The fire was placed under control at 3:25 p.m., Gilliam said. The cause was under investigation.
