Man, 21, fatally shot in Feltonville

A MAN DIED last night after a shooting in Feltonville, police said.

Just before 8 p.m., officers responding to a report of gunshots on Rockland Street near D found the victim, 21, lying between two parked cars, Capt. George Fuchs said.

The victim had been shot several times in the head and back and was pronounced dead at the scene about 8:30 p.m.

Witnesses told police that they saw a man - with a thin build wearing a blue hoodie - fleeing the scene shortly after hearing gunshots. Those witnesses were being interviewed by Homicide Unit detectives last night.

No information on a motive was available last night, Fuchs said.

The victim's identity was not released, but Fuchs said he does have a criminal record, with arrests for drug offenses.
