SEPTA train hits car near Hatboro station

A SEPTA Regional Rail train hit a car Friday night in Montgomery County, an agency spokeswoman said.

Around 9 p.m., Warminster Line train No. 458 struck a car at Warminster Road as it was approaching the Hatboro station, said SEPTA spokeswoman Heather Redfern.

Firefighters rescued the driver of the car, who was trapped in the wreckage. The driver was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital with traumatic injuries, a county dispatcher said.

No one on the train was hurt, she said. SEPTA said shuttle buses were running between Willow Grove and Warminster.
