Bucks County to count the homeless
Census of the unsheltered homeless will be conducted
DOYLESTOWN As part of an annual nationwide initiative, officials in Bucks County will conduct a count of the unsheltered homeless population this month.
The Housing Continuum of Care for Bucks County Committee will conduct the survey on Jan. 29, according to a county news release, and will also count the number of homeless people in shelters that day.
The survey is part of a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development initiative, the news release said, and will be the seventh time since 2008 the county has performed such a count.
Survey teams will provide links to services and shelters, the release said.
