Wayne couple dead in apparent murder-suicide

RADNOR Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Radnor Twp. after discovering the bodies of a husband and wife in their pool house Sunday afternoon.

Around 2:20 p.m., police received a call from a male reporting a shooting and a victim on the 300 block of South Wayne Avenue. Police believe the caller was the husband. He and his wife were in their 40s, police said.

"We believe it was a domestic-related incident," Lt. Chris Flanagan said.

The couple had three children, including an 8-year-old boy home at the time of the shootings, police said. The boy and his 17-year-old sister are now staying with a family friend. Another teenage daughter is away at boarding school, police said.

Police were waiting to notify next of kin before releasing identities.

The family, originally from Texas, has lived in Radnor about a year, Flanagan said.

The husband apparently left behind an envelope, but police had not looked at it as of Sunday evening. They were awaiting the medical examiner.
