Brother, sister found dead in possible murder-suicide
A middle-aged pair of ailing siblings were found shot to death in what may have been a murder-suicide Thursday in Upper Darby, police said.
The brother and sister lived in a duplex in the 3300 block of Mary Street, said Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood. The man, who was in his 60s, had recently been diagnosed with cancer. His sister, who was in her 50s, had limited mobility and required a visiting caregiver and aid from her brother.
The man's daughter was making a well-being check around 4:30 p.m. when she found her aunt dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Chitwood said. The man had been shot in the head. - Robert Moran
