Man stable after being shot in the head in Olney
A 28-year-old man survived being shot in the forehead Wednesday night in the city's Olney section, police said.
About 9 p.m., an unidentified gunman fired at least 13 shots in the direction of a house in the 5800 block of North Marshall Street, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The victim was on the porch and was struck once above his left eye.
The injury was not a graze wound, Small said, but somehow the man was "talking and walking" when police arrived. He was taken to Einstein Medical Center and was listed in stable condition. The house was hit eight times by bullets, and shell casings at the scene indicate that the gunman fired from just feet away, Small said. - Robert Moran
