Two stabbed in North Phila. residence
Philadelphia police are investigating a double stabbing that occurred in a private residence near the Temple University campus Friday night.
The stabbings occurred about 9 p.m. in a home on the 2000 block of North Ninth Street. A 26-year-old man was stabbed six times in the left side of the chest, police said. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
Another man in the house was stabbed once in the left hand, police said. That man, 33, was also taken to Temple Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
There was no word on arrests, police said, and they did not specify whether they had determined a motive for the stabbings. - Aubrey Whelan
