Blast injures man, damages house
An explosion ripped through a house in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday night, critically injuring its owner and setting fire to the building, officials said.
The Fire Marshal's Office is seeking to determine what caused the explosion in the house on the 2000 block of Foster Street in the Bustleton section.
The blast rocked the two-story house about 8:20 p.m., the Fire Department said. The injured man was taken to area hospital, with his condition being upgraded on Thursday to stable/
The fire was placed under control in about 15 minutes.
