Search is on for brothers in SEPTA shooting

Police were looking for two teenage brothers Sunday who they believe were involved in Wednesday night's shooting on SEPTA's Market-Frankford train.

Matthew Early, 18, and his brother Eric, 16, are suspects in the shooting of two train passengers after an argument about a game that night between the Chicago Bulls and the 76ers. Both are wanted on charges of aggravated assault.

Police said the brothers argued with a passenger and shot him after stepping off the train. After striking one man in the stomach, the bullet hit the second man in the leg. Both men survived.

The Early brothers, of the 100 block of South 49th Street, were identified from surveillance footage, police said.

In the video, the men can be seen arguing while getting off the train at 46th and Market Streets. One turned and fired a handgun into the train.
