Fatal shooting victim identified

Police have identified a 52-year-old man who was fatally shot Friday night on Saul Street in Frankford as Jose Rodriguez, a resident of the block.

Rodriguez was found semi-conscious on the pavement of the 5200 block of Saul Street at 10:29 p.m. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and legs, police said. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:57 a.m. Saturday.

No arrests have been made as police continue to search for suspects. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
