Jerry Sandusky won a court ruling Friday that will let him have an expert testify about a psychiatric condition that his attorney says helps explain letters Sandusky wrote to his accusers and other actions that have been construed as attempts to groom victims.

Judge John Cleland granted a motion that sought to put evidence of "histrionic personality disorder" before jurors in Sandusky's child-sexual-abuse case.

Gov. Corbett will appear with fellow Republican Mitt Romney on the presidential contender's first traditional campaign trip of the general election, a six-state bus trip. However, before that, Romney may have to say "hi" to the state's former Democratic governor, Ed Rendell.

Romney's Saturday-afternoon event with Corbett will be at the historic Cornwall Iron Furnace, a Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission site about 25 miles east of Harrisburg.

Romney is also planning to stop at a Wawa convenience store in Quakertown. Rendell will already be there with other Democrats at Wawa for their own news conference to make the case against Romney.

A northeastern Pennsylvania woman faces child-endangerment charges for allegedly getting her teenage daughter hooked on heroin.

Investigators say Brandi Baumgardner, of Beaver Springs, began smoking marijuana with her daughter when the child was 12. The girl told authorities she began using harder drugs later, beginning her heroin habit at 14.

Baumgardner allegedly injected her daughter with drugs when she was too sick to do it herself. The girl is in a residential-treatment center.

President Obama on Friday eased enforcement of immigration laws, offering a chance for hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. and work. Immediately embraced by Hispanics, the extraordinary step touched off an election-year confrontation with congressional Republicans.

The policy change will affect as many as 800,000 immigrants who have lived in fear of deportation. It bypasses Congress and partially achieves the goals of the "DREAM Act," congressional legislation that would establish a path toward citizenship for young people who came to the United States illegally but attend college or join the military.

China has suspended three officials and apologized to a woman who was forced to have an abortion seven months into her pregnancy in a case that has sparked an uproar after graphic photos of the mother and her dead baby were circulated online.

The moves appeared to be aimed at allaying public anger over a case that has triggered renewed criticism of China's widely hated one-child limit. Designed to control the country's exploding population, the policy has led to often violently imposed forced abortions and sterilizations as local authorities try to meet birth quotas set by Beijing.

Feng Jianmei, 23, was beaten by officials and forced to abort the baby at seven months on June 2 because her family could not afford a 40,000 yuan ($6,300) fine for having a second child, Chinese media reported this week.

The forest-boy mystery is solved: It's not true. Berlin police said Friday that an English-speaking teenage who wandered into the city nine months ago saying that he had been living in the forest for the last five years has been spinning a yarn.

After publishing his picture earlier this week, police said a former girlfriend identified him as a 20-year-old from the Netherlands who was reported missing in September. Neither Dutch nor Berlin police would identify him due to privacy laws, but Netherlands state broadcaster NOS interviewed reported that his name was Robin van Helsum.
