Man shot dead in Philadelphia’s Kensington section

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed early today in Kensington, police said.

Hit multiple times by gunfire about 1:10 a.m., the victim ran into his house on the 2900 block of Rorer Street and collapsed, police said.

Officers who responded to the shooting put the man in their patrol car and rushed him to Temple University Hospital, but he died at 3:15 a.m.

Police said two men were seen running from the scene.

No word yet on a possible motive.
