Threatening bathroom scrawl leaves Archbishop Wood on alert

A note found scrawled on a bathroom wall at Archbishop Wood High School prompted officials to call in police and search all students entering school this morning.

The note was found yesterday afternoon by a student, who reported it to administrators, according to Donna Farrell, a spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

"We're not going to specify what the threat was," Farrell said.

Police dogs scoured the halls and grounds at the Warminster, Bucks County, school, but found nothing, Farrell said.

"The police were fantastic," Farrell added. "They arrived right away."

Parents were notified of the threat about 7 p.m. Thursday.

Although the school was cleared of any threat last night, administrators had all students arriving this morning pass through a single entrance.

All students were searched.

Farrell said the school opened as usual without incident. She said parents would be notified today that no threat was found.
